We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at our medical office.
```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their personal and insurance information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records systems (such as Epic or Eaglesoft)
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and comfortable for patients
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in an administrative or front desk role, preferably in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using office equipment, such as computers, printers, and phone systems
- Experience with electronic medical records systems (such as Epic or Eaglesoft) is highly desirable
