Medical Receptionist

```Job Summary```
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical setting, ensuring efficient operations and excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical administrative tasks and possess strong communication skills.

```Responsibilities```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel
- Verify insurance information and assist with insurance claims
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records systems (EMA--Modernizing medicine)
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Manage medical office supplies and inventory
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

```Qualifications```
- Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical software systems (we use EMA - Modernizing Medicine)
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical records management
