We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional patient service, answering incoming calls, and greeting patients in a friendly and welcoming manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work in a fast paced enviroment. Medical Receptionist Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience in an OBGYN office preferred
- At least 3 years experience in a medical office required
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Check-in/Check- out patients in a timely, friendly manner while verifying demographics and insurance information at each visit
- Enter in patient demographics including checking insurance eligibility
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional manner: Manage a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely while minimizing hold time.
- Maintain the reception area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Schedule patient appointments, surgeries, testing, and obtaining any pre-authorizations or referrals necessary.
- Provide administrative support to other employees as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain patient accounts by verifying insurance eligibility, referral requirements, collecting co-pays, outstanding balances and OB/Future services prepayments.
- Reconcile petty cash and office time of service payments on a daily basis
- Assist in prescription refills and any inquiries that come in through Athena Inboxes
- Processing medical record requests including sending out an invoice for payment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
