Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to patients and visitors while efficiently managing administrative tasks at the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
- Collect co-payments and process payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area/office.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Coordinate patient referrals and medical records as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and satisfaction.
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
