Job Functions
- Greets and receive patients, visitors and vendors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Verifies and updates patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR (Electronic Health Record)
- Answer, direct, and screen incoming calls taking complete and accurate messages and forwarding electronically via the EHR to the applicable person(s).
- Intakes patients for clinic visits by collecting needed demographic and insurance information, registering patients for patient portal access, and collect copays and owed balances. Accurately enters and/or scans patient information in the electronic health record.
- Schedules patient appointments via the telephone or in the office according to clinic protocol.
- Obtains referrals/authorizations for clinic and outpatient hospital procedures mandated by insurances.
- Completes reminder calls for next day appointment and confirms in the computer.
- Releases medical records per clinic procedure.
- Adheres to Advanced Cardiovascular Care policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and other State and Federal regulatory requirements.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
