Medical Receptionist
ENT SPECIALISTS, P.C. is a full-service, independently owned, and family-owned medical practice located in Omaha, NE. We provide emergency, family practice, and Urgent Care services. We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our team!
Job Summary:
The Medical Receptionist is responsible for the front desk duties of the office as well as assisting patients and their providers with scheduling appointments and managing the flow of incoming calls.
Essential Duties:
·Greeting patients and answering the phone in a professional manner.
·Answering the phone in a professional manner.
·Maintaining an organized filing system and office supplies inventory.
·Maintaining office cleanliness.
·Maintaining office supply inventory.
·Maintaining office equipment inventory.
·Maintaining office communication system, phones, faxes, etc. (Phone System Operator Certification preferred).
·Maintaining office supply inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
·Maintain office cleanliness by picking up trash from reception area and restrooms. Maintaining cleanliness at all times by following cleaning schedules.
·Filing duties include; medical terminology, insurance forms, HIPAA documents, etc. Filing can be done on computer or on paper using a filing system such as MS Word or Excel.
·Answer phones and schedule appointments in a professional manner.
·General administrative duties such as scheduling appointments for physicians, patients, and staff members.
·Other duties assigned by management Office Manager at time of hire start date (as needed).
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly to patients in person and over the phone. Communication skills must also include listening attentively to others' points of view and taking notes accurately in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality (written or oral). This position requires excellent customer service skills to greet patients in person and over the phone, schedule appointments for physicians, staff members, and visitors, answer basic questions about services provided, respond to requests accurately in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality (written or oral), maintain confidentiality of all information related to patient care, computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, email and other software programs including scheduling service calls via text messaging or email service provider accounts (integration with Google Docs), ability to multitask effectively under high-level phone call situations while maintaining professionalism at all times. All employees are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination at time of hire or as required by law.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
