Medical Receptionist

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in our medical office. Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Verify patient information and insurance coverage - Collect patient co-pays and process payments - Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as Epic - Assist with medical scheduling, including coordinating referrals to specialists and scheduling follow-up appointments - Handle administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Ensure the waiting area is clean and tidy - Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred - Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers - Proficient in using office equipment, such as phone systems, computers, and printers - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records - Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Join our team as a Medical Receptionist and contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical office environment.
