Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our client's team in West Hempstead. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing front desk operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date demographic information
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or outstanding balances
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as necessary
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Experience
- 2 years previous experience as a Medical Receptionist required
- Familiarity with Athena or other electronic medical record systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
