Job Summary:
With a customer service orientation — register patients, answer the telephone, prepare the office for the day, schedule patient appointments/check patients out, process medical record requests, and collect money. Be the welcoming friendly “Face” of Primary Care Partners of South Bend!
Educational Requirements:
· Medical Terminology preferred, but not required
· Familiarity with Healthcare Insurance Plans preferred, but not required
· High school diploma required
· Spanish-speaking skills strongly preferred
Responsibilities and Standards:
· Comfortable using email and Internet software applications
· Knowledge of word processing software and Windows-based practice management software (EMR and PM scheduling/Ins)
· Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
· Proven experience handling irate patients/customers and dealing with conflict
· Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments
· Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
· Excellent telephone customer service skills and professionalism
· Neat, professional appearance
· Organized in work and space
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Must be a team player with co-workers
· Good time management skills to accommodate peaks and valleys of patient flow
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.95 - $16.74 per hour
