Medical Office Receptionist

Plastic Surgery Bellingham is accepting applications for an experiencedMedical Office Receptionist.

Our front desk receptionists are an invaluable point of contact between patients, providers and other office personnel. This enables us to successfully provide excellent patient service. Teamwork is the key to our success.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer, and transfer phone calls
• Route and distribute incoming faxes, scanned documents, mail, etc.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient schedule
• Full referral management for new patients by ensuring proper intake forms are received
• Verify patient demographic information, insurance eligibility and benefits for all current and future patient appointments.
• Perform patient calls reminding them of their appointments and what they should bring with them such as paperwork or prescription lists
• Insure that necessary insurance authorizations have been received and proceed with scheduling (or rescheduling) efforts as appropriate
• Management and distribution of patient documents
• Collect patient copays and payments
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

Other duties as assigned
