```Duties```
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Collect patient information and update medical records accurately
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations.
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs.
- Assist with patient education and provide information on medical conditions and treatments recommended.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office
- Fluent in Prior Authorizations
```Experience```
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience with ECW AND doing prior Authorizations and Merging Patient history.
- Proficiency in medication administration protocols
- Experience with patient care and customer service in a healthcare environment
- Experience in answering phone calls and making appointments.
The Medical Office Assistant plays a crucial role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. They should also possess excellent communication skills and be able to provide compassionate patient service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in medical assisting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members
