Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet patients and answer the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Exhibit genuine concern for patients and their family members while always conducting oneself professionally.
- Collect necessary information for patient appointments such as new patient paperwork, insurance cards, pre-authorizations, referrals, etc., and properly enter into NextGen/EHR to ensure that patient records are up to date.
- Collection of in-office patient copays and balances. Discuss financial responsibilities with patients.
- Schedule and confirm appointments.
- Provide assistance to patients, other admin and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow through the office.
- Complete appropriate end of day reporting.
- Maintain the appearance and function of all office equipment and facilities.
- Perform various clerical or administrative functions, such as ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
- Keep Physician and/or Administrator well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and problems identified.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Insurance knowledge - patient eligibility and benefits, surgery benefits and patient responsibility, authorizations for surgeries
- At least 2 years experience preferred.
- Experience with NextGen/EHR highly preferred, but not required.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately with all team members
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Work efficiently and have excellent time management

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
