Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office. · Obtain appropriate documentation and insurance information from patients.
- Collect copayments from outstanding balances.
- Refer patients to Financial Counselor regarding past due balances and for insurance questions and/or resolutions.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Perform data entry, documentation, printing, and filing tasks
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars
- Print clinic schedules and prepare for next day’s clinic; print out clinic schedules for the next day and email the doctor’s schedules for the following day.
- Inform patients of privacy policies and procedures.
- Confirm patient’s upcoming appointments.
- Balance deposit batches each day.
- Receive deliveries and notify appropriate personnel.
- Keep the reception area tidy and presentable with all necessary materials
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude with a pleasant personality
-Travel to satellite locations as needed, including Eagle Pass, Jourdanton, Victoria, and SW (not satellite).

- Data entry skills for accurate record keeping

- Familiar with insurance benefits

- Proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in written communications

- Computer literacy to navigate software programs and perform basic troubleshooting

-Prefer bilingual due to our patient population
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
