Brief Description:   

We are seeking dedicated and professional Medical Assistants to join our dynamic team in our private practice specializing in Primary Care. Located in the vibrant area of San Diego, CA, we have multiple positions available for individuals passionate about patient care. 

Essential Functions: 

• Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of visits, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care and referrals to other healthcare providers.
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention as instructed by healthcare providers.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, sanitation regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with professionalism, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as managing medical supplies inventory and handling patient correspondence.

Competencies & Success Factors: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical Assistant Certificate is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing patient records and clinical tasks.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Hourly Range: 

• $22.35 – $33.53 (based on level of experience)
