SalaryUnder the supervision of the Pre-op/PACU Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing, according to the organizational structure, and at the direction of Registered Nurses; the Certified Nurses Aide supports the care of patients while in the surgery center. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: working with physician offices and computers to prepare pre-surgery clinical documents. Transporting of patients and equipment, assists with preparation of the Pre-op/PACU and/or Operating Room, and properly cleaning of any area of the facility according to policy and procedures. Demonstrates good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique, biohazard material, and universal precautions.
Certified Medical or Nurse Aide is required. Experience working with computers, patients, taking vital signs and other patient needs, and heavy lifting and pushing is required.
