SalaryLocality is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Media Buyer to join our team. As a Media Buyer, you will play a crucial role in planning, negotiating, and executing media buys to effectively reach targeted audiences. Working closely with the SVP of Sales, you will develop and implement successful media strategies across various markets. The role offers a unique opportunity to have a skill set that spans both local and national sides of the business. As a hybrid in national and local media buying, candidates will have the ability to broaden their horizons in the future.
Aggregating Rates and Avails:Collect, combine, and maintain rates throughout the quarter.
Plan and implement media buys across various markets and channels, including traditional and digital media platforms for various campaigns.
Campaign Management:
Maintain campaigns throughout the pre/live/post cycle of the buy (makegoods, revisions, etc.).
Manage/oversee the traffic instruction process from start to finish.
Monitor campaign delivery and address shortfalls with bonus weight.
Create post-campaign re-caps illustrating achieved KPIs, shortfalls, and summarizing results.
Analysis and Reporting:
Create monthly spot audit trackers.
Assist with monthly and quarterly campaign spot audits by account for compliance with campaign guidelines.
Reconcile final impression deliveries after ratings book is in the system.
2-5 years of experience in media buying.
Deep understanding of local linear television and some network understanding.
Local and national buying experience is highly preferred
Experience in campaign maintenance, including posting, delivery, makegoods, bonus/UD weight, discrepancies, etc.
Advanced proficiency with Excel.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with media vendors.
Experience with automated buying platforms.
Familiarity with Media Math.
Experience working with bigger clients in the Telecom, Pharma, Retail, and Packaged Goods spaces is preferred.
Ability to handle multiple campaigns a quarter.
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $75,000-$115,000. (dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits, retirement benefits and paid days off).
