Job Purpose:
Plays a leading role in the startup of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Works as a team member together with representatives of management, production, quality, and safety to ensure personnel safety, operational efficiency, and achievement of production targets.
- Works in compliance with company and regulatory safety policies
- Works daily to ensure all manufacturing equipment and mechanical production equipment and associated systems are functioning properly
- Assists in training maintenance personnel at a lower level of job classification
- Troubleshooting of automated mechanical processes or equipment, acts as first line of escalation from production
- Simulation and testing of mechanical processes or equipment to ensure desired functionality
- Root cause analysis of equipment failures and problems and recommendation of appropriate countermeasures
- Troubleshooting of mechanical components and systems using various test equipment
- Work with production team daily to keep and maintain production goals and targets
- Works with electrical maintenance to troubleshoot issues regarded to production downtime
- Assist with in plant projects related to upgrading and streamlining of equipment and processes
- Reports issues incurred during shift using work order system as well as email to communicate to other maintenance and engineering staff
Requirements:
- Preferred Certificate or Technical Diploma in welding, fabrication or mechanical engineering with minimum of 5-10 years maintenance experience.
- Advanced hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission equipment troubleshooting experience
- Demonstrates understanding of industrial mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Understanding of reading and understanding technical plans, blueprints, machine layouts, drawings, and hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
- Strong practical knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
- Ability to Mig, Stick and Tig weld along with use of plasma cutter and torch
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic communication, project management and presentation skills
- Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other productivity tools
