Job Description:

This Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices.

Responsibilities:

· Create and update CAD models of soft wearable devices in Siemens NX and Team Center PLM

· Work with the internal model shop and external suppliers to manufacture parts.

· Assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices

· Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of Client sensor integrations in wearable electronics.

· Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds.

· Collaborate with engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run experiments.

Skills:

· Expect candidates to have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Product Design experience.

· Mid-Level or Higher experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics CAD modeling, including Surfacing

· Experience with Design for injection molding and 3D printing.

· 3+ years of experience in building hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar field

· Experience with FPC/PCB design.

· Experience collaborating and communicating effectively on multi-disciplinary teams

Top 3 Must have Skills:

· Average or expert user in Siemens NX CAD, including Surface Modeling. This is required.

· Previous Mechanical Engineering or Product Design experience in consumer electronics from concept to detail design to manufacturing to testing and failure analysis.

· Not afraid to iterate on designs multiple times until the team locks the design.
