Lead Mechanical Engineer (Multiple Openings)
Responsibilities:
The Lead MechanicalEngineer will utilize his or her knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, practices, and philosophies to lead in assembly design, plastic and metal part design, tolerance studies, manufacturability/assembly design, component selection and specification, thermal analysis and design, and mechanical shock and vibration analysis. The incumbent will apply the principles of mechanical and electrical engineering and: (1) lead in qualifying and monitoring component and custom part vendors; (2) generate and maintain accurate bills of materials; (3) provide accurate labor and material estimates; (4) review and support documentation, mechanical designs, and manufacturing process design; (5) write test plans, conduct design tests, and review results; (6) maintain current and accurate project notebooks; (7) mentor, direct, control, and exercise discretion over the activities of one Mechanical Engineer and one Designer under his or her direction, including holding the authority to recommend hiring, firing, and other personnel actions; and (8) follow, measure, and improve company’s engineering and R&D processes.
Salary Range: $97,700.00 - $104,000.00 per year.
