Thermal Mechanical Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Thermal measurement of prototypes and systems in lab
• Thermal test data analysis
• Test reporting and documentation of results
• Mechanical material strength testing
• Lab apparatus assembly
• General assistance with mechanical laboratory measurements

Skills Required:

• Thermal measurement with thermocouples
• Data acquisition with National Instruments or similar data loggers
• Operation of Thermal Environmental Chambers
• Fluency with Excel, Power Point.

Highly Desirable:

• Mechanical strength testing with Instron test machine.
• Proficiency with mechanical assembly and hand tools.
• Fluency with LabView, Matlab, Windows command line and T_Shell.

Education:

4-year College degree preferred in Engineering or Physical Sciences.

Experience:

At least one year working in a lab environment, collecting and analyzing thermal performance data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
