Mechanical Designer

Job Description:

Pawport is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and engineering plastic and metal parts for consumer products, demonstrating proficiency in conceptualizing, modeling, and testing mechanical components. Knowledge and proficiency in Electronics / circuit board design as well would be preferred but not necessarily required.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop components for consumer products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and industrial designers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts and ensure optimal performance.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in smart product design and integrate innovative solutions into projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on consumer products.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Experience with design analysis and simulation tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with IoT and smart product development is desirable.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
