Job Description
Position Summary:
Create detailed drawings and assemblies using CAD software. Work closely with engineers to create design drawings for devices, systems, and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create detailed design drawings using CAD software.
- Ability to execute minimally to moderately complex design projects.
- Work with other members of the design team to ensure accuracy of designs.
- Evaluate existing designs and develop new and improved designs.
- Ensure drawings meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain documentation of designs Any other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of CAD designing experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.5-2018.
- FMEA and design analysis skills is a plus.
- Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or design or a similar field is a plus.
- Aerospace or aviation background is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
Travel:
- Some travel may be required.
Language:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Physical Demands:
- Work Environment: warehouse and aviation repair shop.
- Lifting: Maximum 50 lbs.
- Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching.
Working Conditions:
- This position works in a warehouse, and aviation repair shop environment.
