We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Specialist-B Shift to join our client's team. The Materials Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our client's facility, maintaining accurate material inventory records, and facilitating the smooth operation of production processes.

Base Rate: $20/hr (plus $3/hr. shift differential)
Shift: B Shift (2:30-11pm-some flexibility)
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to determine the optimal location and presentation of parts, ensuring easy access and efficient workflow.
- Follow the Kanban Card processing process by pulling, logging, and scanning parts cards for replenishment.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely replenishment of material inventory to support production needs.
- Collaborate with cell employees, buyers, and inventory controllers to identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues within the cell.
- Proactively communicate with relevant stakeholders to address inventory-related challenges.
- Initiate requests for inventory adjustments, fabricated work orders, and/or purchase orders, as needed, to ensure the accuracy and availability of parts.
- Maintain meticulous records of inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Review the status of aged materials with no movement. Identify, investigate, and dispose of aged non-Kanban inventory according to established guidelines and procedures.
- H.S. Diploma, required
- Prior experience with purchase orders, work orders, material inventory control, in a manufacturing setting, required
- Prior ERP experience, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Kanban systems and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
