SalarySt. Catherine of Siena Hospital, affiliated with Catholic Health, is located in Smithtown, NY on a beautiful 110-acre campus that includes a 290-bed community hospital, a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility, and a 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. SCS is engaged with error reduction initiatives and on a journey to High Reliability. We have been recognized in superior care in stroke and sepsis patients, have also recently attained Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery, and have been designated as the only Baby Friendly hospital in Suffolk County.
Job Details:- Locates missing items and replenishes stock
- Maintains adequate amounts of sterile and unsterile supplies within the work ZONE, at all times (Includes medication rooms)
- Cleans and checks equipment on a routine basis
- Checks supplies for expiration dates and reprocesses and/or discards as indicated
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Must be well organized and knowledgeable in systems supporting material supply.
- Must attain 85% or more on math and reading comprehension tests
- Willingness to attend educational courses to increase knowledge in area of inventory control and budgeting
- Ability to deal with physical and emotional stress
- Must have valid N.Y.S. driver's license
- Experience in inventory control and materials handling preferred
- Must be computer literate.
