6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 1st shift
SUMMARY:
Material flow is seeking an individual to coordinate the procurement and production of Material, including the expediting of material shortages to meet all system due dates.
Ensures that production personnel have the parts they need to produce desired product.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Run critical shortage reports and investigate shortages for assigned department(s).
• Assist in CI process and support process improvements
• Attend daily parts meetings to review and update open HPR’s
• Manage and resolve department COGI report
• Coordinate and kit material for DB repair in support of FPV process
• Inventory counts to support OIA and provide need dates to SM
• Back-up support for Material Flow MC’s and wage teams
CANDIDATES WILL REQUIRE:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work with cross functional teams including other Deere facilities
• Ability to multitask with high attention to detail
• Demonstrates professionalism.
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivation and willingness to be part of the Material Flow Team
• Demonstrated computer and technical knowledge
PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
• 2 year college degree
• Experience working with SAP
• Experience with Supply Management
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Description:
Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanbans in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving. Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product. Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow Deere Production Systems principles. Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization. Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, the movement of rejected material to source. Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages. May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials. Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production. Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
