Job Title: Material Coordinator I - Material Planning and Control/ EPPG Planner 39262 - John Deere
Description:
- Coordinates the flow of materials and the filling of Kanban's in a department of the factory, which may include shipping and receiving.
- Ensures that the production personnel have the parts they need in order to produce the desired product.
- Oversees and ensures that the inventory is correct and on time and identifies problems and makes suggestions involving production schedules. Ensures material logistics follow Deere Production Systems principles.
- Coordinates the activities for the tactical execution of a production plan within a smaller group of the factory. Typically an initial position in the organization.
- Duties: Coordinates department(s) schedule performance for procuring, expediting, and the movement of rejected material to source.
- Recommends procedures for specific situations that will maintain inventory accuracy and management. Finds root cause of material shortages.
- May provide recommendations for solutions. Utilizes Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules. May include the processing of transactions for inbound/outbound materials.
- Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy and may create material replenishment plans with assistance. Counts and resolves inventory errors and expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Works critical shortage reports to ensure part availability.
Specific Position Requirements:
- Entry Level Supply Chain Management Position
- Bachelor's degree is preferred, but candidates with relevant work experience will also be considered. Degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or Mathematics are preferred. Manager is open to recent graduates or current students able to work 40 hours/week.
Shift:
- 1st Shift - 7:30am-4pm or 7:00am-3:30
Additional information:
- In this entry level Supply Management position you will work as part of a team responsible for coordinating the procurement of experimental parts in support of experimental operations, feasibility builds, and durability builds. Part requests are managed utilizing a shared work queue among the team members.
- You will work with Engineering, Supply Management, and the Experimental Shop to ensure appropriate materials and quantities are ordered, delivered, and received. When necessary, create Material Masters, Extend Views, and perform Material Movements in SAP.

- Required Skills/Experiences: Good computer skills, Microsoft Excel, effective communication, ability to work well in a team environment
- Additional Preferred Skills/Experiences: SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Excel experience with Pivot Tables, Lookups, and other common formulas
