Position Summary:
The IT Support/Network Security Analyst is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure, providing exceptional technical support to end-users, and ensuring the security of the network. This role demands a blend of technical skills in troubleshooting, system administration, and Network Security, with a primary focus on IT support (70%) and a secondary focus on Network Security (30%).
IT Support (70%) Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner via phone, email, or in-person.
- Document support requests, solutions, and follow-up activities in the ticketing system.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT assets.
- Ensure proper disposal and recycling of outdated equipment.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Monitor network activity for potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, escalating, as necessary.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of Network Security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Manage and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and implement necessary patches and updates.
- Keep abreast of emerging security threats and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- At least 1 year of experience in Network Security or related functions.
