We would like to welcome a new member to our team, in the position of Marketing Specialist. This is a “high touch” position, interfacing with and supporting our local community.
We are Visit McMinnville, a non-profit economic development organization working on behalf of the City. Our mission is to promote McMinnville as a year-round premier visitor destination, and we would like your assistance in doing just that!
The Marketing Specialist position is critical for the organization and the broader economic development efforts of the City. You will be directly responsible for the day-to-day execution of Visit McMinnville’s marketing programs and work closely with the President/CEO and Director of Marketing and Communications. In addition, you will have contact outside the organization representing not only us but also the overall McMinnville tourism industry throughout the local community and on social media. Some travel will be necessary to attend trade shows, industry conferences, and related events.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage Visit McMinnville’s extensive social media program
- Assist in creating eye-catching and on-brand marketing materials for digital and print platforms. This includes assisting with basic photo and video editing.
- Manage the website along with the contracted web design team
This position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in brand management on leading social media platforms and an understanding of general marketing practices and strategies. Experience with social media influencers and public relations is helpful.
Basic design skills with Adobe or other creative suites, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, are essential.
The Marketing Specialist role is exempt, with a starting salary range of $55-$60,000 per year. Our benefit program includes full medical and dental benefits, paid time off, and a 401k with a 6% match.
