JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is administrative services work in the promotion of specific lottery games and the improvement of marketing processes. Responsibilities include analyzing market data, assist in developing a marketing program, making frequent contact to promote products, updating lottery website and engaging with players through social media. Work is performed under limited supervision.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Assist the marketing manager with marketing strategies. Identifies, researches, and recommends promotional marketing opportunities in order to encourage sales growth.
- Works with the marketing manager and advertising agency in developing point of sale material, sourcing promotional material and development of market strategies.
- Collaboratively works with Lottery vendors and marketing department on promotional scheduling and content.
- Works with the Lottery’s Loyalty Program assisting in planning promotions, review and approve loyalty program content.
- Review and approve winners list for various promotions. Contact promotion winners and manage claim process with such winners.
- Work with vendors on social media content and posts. Monitor site for appropriate content and respond and engage with followers. Reviews other Lottery social media channels for new ideas and concepts.
- Assist in winner awareness program, photograph winners for social media posting and advertising opportunities. Engage with winners for social media content.
- Work with Lottery website vendor in updating website information on new games, game changes and general content to keep information updated and accurate.
- Review other lottery websites and lottery related sites to keep updated on lottery news and trends.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGES:
- Knowledge of marketing and promotional methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of marketing and research and statistical methods and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to write clearly and effectively.
- Ability to gather and analyze market data, determine market trends and prepare market analysis reports.

- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A six (6) year combination of education, experience, and/or training in business administration, marketing, sales, public relations, or directly related field.
