Our client, Spend Matters, the leading source for data-backed procurement technology and solutions intelligence, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to handle SolutionMap, our proprietary portal for collecting procurement technology data in collaboration with tech vendors. The data collected in the SolutionMap portal fuels our intel-centric membership product offerings. This role is customer-facing, administrative and technical in nature.
Position Overview
The position is pivotal in maintaining, expanding and supporting Spend Matters data gathering projects, mainly SolutionMap, to fuel the market intelligence applications for members and inform research projects. Individual will also project manage other data gathering projects, QA, and technical/client support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure data is obtained on a set schedule by working with participating vendors and the analyst team. Onboard and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to vendors. You will also liaise with the Spend Matters development team as needed to raise any technical issues and communicate possible improvements.
- Support clients both internally and externally for data gathering projects - you sit in the center of the SolutionMap project
- Part of team responsible for quality assurance of project outputs
- Build and nurture relationships with key players in client organizations to maintain participation and engagement and ultimately, lead to commercial opportunities
- Proactively address and resolve client concerns to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship.
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate project updates, changes, client feedback
- Lead SolutionMap project (and other projects, as needed) effectively from beginning to end - from updating documents/collateral, onboarding new participants, scoping updates/bugs for development team, email communications with clients and internal teams (analysts, client success), deadline tracking, quality assurance of output
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related field.
- At least 2+ years of project management or operational workflow, (technical) customer support experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex processes in a clear manner.
- Project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support clients in a deadline-oriented atmosphere.
- Familiarity with basic application development in order to address VOC concerns with development team.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Exposure to ClickUp (project management tool), YAMM (mail merge), Docusign, a plus
- Detail-orientation, technical affinity and proven experience supporting internal and external clients.
- Knowledge of the Procurement Technology space is highly desired.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of organization.
- Have excellent planning and organization skills and the temperament to work in a changing (entrepreneurial, SaaS growth) environment.
- Able to manage (multiple) projects from beginning to end and influence others internally and externally in order to meet project deadlines.
- Be kind, firm, tenacious yet flexible as needed to achieve big picture (data gathering) objectives.
