Job Description

Reporting to the Director of RINVOQ International Marketing, this position supports the development and execution of marketing strategies and tactics at the International, Areas, and Country-Affiliate level.

 

Collaborates and engages with a cross-functional team, which includes (but not limited to): market access, medical affairs, finance, regulatory, legal, supply operations, health economics, clinical development, R&D, public affairs, medical and regulatory review, patient relations, business insights, OEC, and sales training.

 

 

Develop and implements commercial plans and programs needed to maintain market leadership in an increasingly competitive landscape with a key focus on the Health Care Provider.
Work closely with multiple commercial operation departments, areas & affiliates to ensure success in product support and sales execution.
Externally, the Marketing Manager will work with various agencies, consultants, and physicians to successfully drive the business.  
Internally, the Marketing Manager must demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functionally and build a collaborative and integrated commercial team and GBT.

 

 

Tasks:
Analyze the rheumatology market (SpA) dynamics and trends as well as collect insights on customer behavior to propose launch strategies and tactics across geographical regions (EUROPE and INTERCON). This include but not restricted to analyze market research, monitor competitor activity, lead advisory boards with external experts, collect insights from local markets through regular follow-up (physically and virtually) with affiliate commercial leads.

 

 


External Expert management and HCP insights gathering through formal and informal meetings to discuss latest scientific publications on RINVOQ, disease pathogenesis and management as well as analyze potential impact on the treatment trends as well as the business.

 

 


Develop marketing plans for RINVOQ in SpA per company internal processes and procedures plus develop the foundational marketing elements to secure the launch of RINVOQ. This includes, but not restricted to, defining product positioning, customer segmentation, campaign messaging, product branding etc.

 

 


Maintain regular (usually daily) surveillance of competitor activities and gather necessary analytics to develop Competitive Readiness Strategy and tactics. This could include, but not restricted to, establishing a centralized repository for objection handlers, competitor overview decks, congress reports, key scientific publications etc. In addition, generate rapid response letters on emerging threats (e.g. competitor data release), lead workshops with and train affiliates on competitor product profiles.

 

 


Develop promotional campaigns and material for RINVOQ to communicates its clinical value and features to Dermatologists and across geographies worldwide. This encompasses, but not restricted to, concept development, testing with HCPs, creative work review and develop promotional material (printed and digital). This material includes, but not restricted to, banners, interactive visual aids for sales representatives, websites, Congresses and Tradeshows booth design, pamphlets, and journal ads.

 

 

Develop promotional projects that to harness opportunities beyond the product offering which enhance the consumer experience for patients and HCPs. This could include, but not restricted to, SpA speaker training program, improving quality of care projects, digital educational series on treatment strategies etc. 

 

 

Cover international scientific congresses to monitor the evolution of current and upcoming treatment strategies, identify emerging trends and meet with international experts in the field of dermatology for insights gathering and promotional activities. This also encompass compiling this analysis and share back with affiliates and the global functional team to develop tactics and inform launch strategies.

 

 

Oversee in-market execution, co-create projects and provide direct support to affiliates (with special focus on the top 17 markets who are spread across Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and Latin America) by maintaining regular touch points and follow up on strategies and tactical execution in these local markets. This includes but not restricted to face-to-face and virtual meetings, workshops and training sessions, informal discussions etc.

 

 

Provide regular and proactive communications on key market developments and launch preparations to all levels of management, peers across functions and across the global and the US RINVOQ teams. This could include but not restricted to weekly meetings with line manager, monthly reviews with cross functional team, ad hoc/alert reports on competitor activities and market changes, presentation on launch preparations to senior board members etc.

 

 

Withhold budget responsibility for assigned projects as well as conduct monthly budget reviews with finance department. This include but not restricted to budget forecasting, identify opportunities for budget maximization, prioritize project execution upon overspending and contingency plans etc.
Manage and contract vendors, suppliers and professional services agencies for project execution. This includes but not restricted to production of printed marketing material, development of digital assets, prepare workshop material, consulting etc.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
•    Competency of the current medical and regulatory approval process
•    Proven track record of effectively working in cross-functional teams and matrix environments
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong quantitative skills
•    Able and willing to extensively travel international

 

Preferred Experience (in addition to Basic):
•    MBA or advanced degree
•    Global and Affiliate/Country experience
•    Sales, Market Access, or other relevant experience that complements the marketing role
