Stark & Stark has an opening for a Marketing & Events Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for collaborating with lawyers and the firm’s Marketing & Business Development team on leveraging firm-hosted and sponsored events for business development (BD) and client relations’ opportunities. This role is responsible for managing logistics for community and client-facing events including seminars, conferences, webinars, and client entertainment, while actively contributing to and supporting strategic Marketing & business development goals for each event. This position will also coordinate firm sponsorships and manage special projects / internal events as assigned as well as other initiatives to support the Firm’s growth.

Position Responsibilities
Event Responsibilities
- Support event activities for brand and industry events including pre-planning and onsite support.
- Create budget for events and report on success.
- In collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Business Development, drive all event strategies through creation and ownership of all event program of events, project plans and agendas.
- Order/process gifts for events.
- Creation and management of hotel and AV specs.
- Management of Food and Beverage selection while adhering to negotiated budget allotment.
- Coordinate signage plan for events, managing orders with vendor.
- Support the coordination of ordering and shipments of assets, promotional items and collateral needed for events.
- Manage sponsors and communicate timelines for event sponsors.
- Represent the firm at seminars, events, conferences, and tradeshows, as may be required or assigned; this includes managing exhibit booth set-up, staffing, and meaningfully engaging with clients and prospects.
Marketing/Business Development Responsibilities
- Support the development of reception themes, coordinating specialty décor, entertainment, and creating wow moments for the network.
- Work with Director of Marketing & Business Development to onboard new Attorneys.
- Create and maintain enthusiastic, cooperative, professional, and teamwork-structured environment.
- Sourcing and logistical management of external vendors.
- Manage the work of external communications partners for projects as needed.
- Run and manage social media accounts.
- Responsible for client pitch materials.
- Responding to RFPs/proposals.
- Conducting research and creating original written content, social media, press releases, attorney bios, firm surveys and submissions, and pipeline management.
- Meet regularly with attorneys to solicit information or feedback.
- Coach attorneys on social media best practices and profile review to leverage social media for visibility and promotion of attorneys, practices, events and thought leadership.
- Overnight travel will be required (20-40%).
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field
- A minimum of two to three years of experience in marketing and/or event planning. (Law firm experience strongly preferred)
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in market research and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High energy level, individual with an ability to handle multiple projects and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perceive big picture in addition to attention to details and specific touches.
- Superior skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
