Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):
- Design projects as needed that fulfill customer needs, including, but not limited to marketing services for Catholic and Christian schools, provide website support as needed for customers, creating customer reporting for products such as Appeals, Capital Campaigns, Consulting Services and other programs
- Develop creative design to fulfill customer needs, including, but not limited to, logo design, brochures, creative layout for templates for the production design department.
- Help define and solve complex marketing communications problems, including providing art direction to outside design firms, freelancers, artists, and photographers
- Create as needed marketing materials for all OSV programs and events, with special focus on Offertory Services
- Work with Associate Director of Marketing to ensure consistency of the brand image/message
- Work with marketing team to maintain schedules, manage priorities, maintain high quality standards, and work within budget
- Provide accuracy in design and file preparation for print, html email, and posting on the internet
- Remain current on latest trends and styles in marketing to parishes and schools
- Maintain confidentiality of themes, directions, pricing, vendors, tactics, and marketing materials
- Give input on the clarity and consistency of OSV graphic standards
- Collaborate with other departments on various projects
- Promote positive relationships and effective communication with co-workers and department managers
Requirements:
- Must possess a strong portfolio of work with outstanding design, typographic, and production skills
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of creative experience in an agency, corporate advertising, or marketing department
- Extensive experience with programs including Adobe InDesign, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro
- Understanding of HTML and knowledge of Web-based content management systems such as WordPress preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of printing and printing processes preferred
- Self-motivated individual who instinctively provides creative inspiration and out-of-the-box thinking
- Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations, and contribute to a positive team environment
- Ability to take direction, accept criticism, rework as needed, and work in a creative team environment both independently and when directed
- Flexible, organized, self-starter who can handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/arts or related discipline

Working Environment:
- The incumbent will work within an office environment and/or remote and/or hybrid
- Incumbent must be able to sit for extended amounts of time as this position requires 60 - 70% of time to be spent in sitting at a computer
