The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for overseeing educational communications, marketing, promotional and internal communications for MDTA's Division of Communications (DOC). This position oversees the work of communications consultants and assists with maintaining a comprehensive schedule for MDTA education campaigns, events, general communications, and marketing planning. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Interfaces with marketing agencies daily;
- Serves as a back-up to the Marketing Manager;
- Assigns, tracks, and reviews the work of consultants and ensures deadlines are met;
- Provides direct support to the Marketing Manager with internal and external marketing and promotional efforts, to ensure timeliness of projects and campaigns;
- Delivers presentations at internal and external meetings;
- Serves as back-up for MDTA Board meeting livestreaming
- Assists with the planning, coordination, filming, and production of video efforts;
- Records task/work orders in the purchasing system;
- Reviews invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness;
- Maintains files and records for task orders and invoices;
- Develops and coordinates content for distribution using MDTA Visix (internal and external communication monitors);
- Serves as DOC representative for MDTA internal communications efforts;
- Interfaces with division directors and representatives, leads meetings with MDTA peers and advocates their voices to executive leadership; and
- Proposes ideas and strategies for addressing issues and improving internal communications.
The selected employee for this position will report directly to the Marketing Manager. The current vacancy exists in Baltimore, Maryland. Hybrid telework schedules may be available for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Three years' experience in administrative or professional work. **Six months of experience coordinating marketing and/or communications campaigns.
