Affinity Plus is excited to kick-off our 2024 Summer Internship Program. This program will provide Interns with the opportunity to work within their area of career focus while interacting with teams across the organization to expand knowledge of the financial industry. Affinity Plus is committed to building relationships across our communities, with a goal of both expanding access to our unique and purposeful financial products and services. This intern role will assist a select group of branch leaders throughout the state with outreach to community organizations, community events and other initiatives that broaden the credit union's connectivity with new and diverse groups. Additionally, this intern will provide direct support to the Community Engagement and Business Development Manager carrying out community activations as needed.

What we are seeking in an intern:
- Degree or working toward degree in Communications, Marketing, Corporate Social Responsibility or related field
- Interest in marketing and Community Engagement
- Confident and capable when establishing productive and professional relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to travel regionally on occasion required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of brand building and campaign management
- Ability to work remote primarily and be in-person at times for meetings, events, training and connections
- Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team and ability to collaborate with others
- Time Management skills and the ability to prioritize workload based on project needs
- Flexibility to adapt and succeed in a dynamic environment
- Ability and drive to provide exceptional service to members and employees
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
Workplace Environment:
- Sitting 85-90% and standing 10-15%
- Working at a computer 75% of the day
- Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
- Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately up to 30 pounds with or without accommodations
Required Work Schedule:
Primarily Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed on evenings or weekends.
This internship will be from June 3rd, 2024 - August 9th, 2024 and offers the option to work mostly remote with occasional on-site days required for meetings, collaboration, and other events in St. Paul, MN. The intern should be located in Minnesota or Wisconsin for the duration of the internship.
