Job description:
A Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the marketing team to carry out marketing campaigns. Duties include researching market trends and compiling reports about consumer needs, creating marketing campaign content such as graphics, blog posts or social media posts and assisting in executing marketing events for a corporation.
- Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior and preparing reports by collecting, summarizing and analyzing data
- Support the Marketing Director in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing and assembling sales forecasts, updating calendars and organizing and planning promotional presentations
- Communicate campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to the team while providing instructions for promotion or use
- Planning and managing trade shows, conferences, events and meetings by identifying, coordinating and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts
- Maintain an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed
- Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customers while providing recommendations to Marketing and sales leadership
- Other assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current college student or graduate preferred
- Time management and follow-up skills with ability to plan, organize, and prioritize a workload and handle several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize attention to detail and communicate cross-functionally across teams and departments
- The ability to observe, ask questions, listen actively and give and accept feedback effectively
- Excellent written and communications skills
- A high energy level, adaptability, patience and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
- Competence in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Calendar
- Current authorization to work in the U.S. with legal documentation
Additional Requirements:
- This position is a mandated reporter, and is required to observe all consumers rights, report unusual occurrences as specified in Title 22, California Code of Regulations
- May hold a valid California driver’s license, auto insurance and a good driving record, and may require and undergo fingerprint and criminal record check, and provide results of health screening and TB testing
Working Environment:
Typical Working Conditions: Primary work location is indoors, outdoors for leisure activities.
Risk/Safety Conditions, Essential Physical Activities to include: walking, sitting, hearing, seeing up close, talking, standing, finger movement, repetitive motions. Maintains sufficient strength, agility, endurance and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in this job description. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Will ask for assistance when needed.
