EARTH Ltd. Is a non-profit conservation and education organization located next to Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, MA. We support local and global conservation efforts through memberships, educational programs, and fundraising.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Marketing and Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Earth Ltd. This role will be instrumental in supporting both marketing initiatives and Administrative functions, playing a key role in promoting our mission of conservation and biodiversity protection.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital content to connect with and educate our audience.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Education teams to create and execute integrated campaigns to drive awareness of and support our events, educational initiatives, and conservation efforts.
- Manage social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers to increase awareness and drive engagement.
- Provide administrative support to various departments within the organization, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
- Field phone calls and inquiries, providing information about our programs, initiatives, and membership opportunities.
- Assist with membership inquiries, renewals, and database management, maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service to members.
- Support Zoo check-in procedures for events and programs, ensuring a seamless experience for participants and attendees.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to events, including registration, coordination of materials, and logistical support, aligning with our mission to engage and connect with our community.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities in pursuit of our vision for a sustainable future.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in marketing, advertising, or communications roles is highly desirable.
- Strong creative and writing skills, with the ability to develop compelling content for various marketing channels.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in an administrative support role or similar position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to Earth Ltd.'s mission.
- Experience in a non-profit organization or a related field is desirable.
- Part-time, 30 hours per week. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.
- Occasionally cover the retail desk (once construction is complete) to assist with selling merchandise, providing excellent customer service and promoting our organization's mission and vision to visitors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience working in non-profits is a plus!
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe CC
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for accuracy and consistency
- Preferably familiar with wildlife conservation and environment issues.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
