Description:
Summary: Advises the Company's clients concerning their legal rights, obligations and privileges. Direct report to the Vice President and Senior Employment Counsel.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.:
The Candidate must have significant experience in labor and employment law. At least ten years of private sector employment law experience handling all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including the following:
- Title VII and other EEO laws
- FMLA
- FLSA
- Employment agreements, both individual and collective
- Supervisory Training
- Employee Benefits
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a Tennessee law license or pass the Tennessee Bar Examination and obtain a Tennessee law license required.
Experience:
This significant role requires at least 10 years' private sector labor and employment litigation and practice experience. Experience with health care facilities is preferred, as is experience with large, multi- state clients.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual capability and digital dexterity to operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Digital dexterity to assemble, retrieve and replace files.
- Frequent repetitive motion; frequent writing; frequent grasping, holding and reaching.
- Frequent hearing and talking, in person and on the phone.
- Sit for extended periods of time.
