About Hartman:
Hartman Yacht Maintenance is a 30-year-old / employee owned mobile marine maintenance company.
Currently, Hartman serves three divisions including the Palm Beaches, South to the upper Keys. Our Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Palm Beach division is looking for additional Marine Field Technicians to be trained who are willing to work and grow with the company.

Job Summary:
This role requires proficiency and training in all aspects of vessel troubleshooting and repairs, including but not limited to repair and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment of boat engines.
Requirements:
- A passion for boating and marine repair
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and great customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A drive to learn new things, succeed, and work well in a team environment
- Physically capable of climbing, crawling, or maneuvering around a boat
- Basic knowledge of electrical and/ or mechanical knowledge
- Marine technical training and/or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation with valid license
- Must own tools
- Ability to work under pressure and complete work in a timely fashion
- Able to follow instructions
- Certifications desired but not required.
- Willingness to take classes or courses as needed to advance your training.
- Must be Physically fit and capable of doing all duties at hand
- Troubleshoot and Repair 2 stroke and 4 stroke outboard engine (Preferred but not required)
Things you will learn:
- Systems Inspections
- Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
- Start motors and monitor performance for signs of malfunctioning, such as smoke, excessive vibration, or misfiring.
- Repair defective engines or engine components.
- Perform routine engine maintenance such as changing oil and filters.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Inspect and repair or adjust propellers/propeller shafts.
- Adjust boat components according to specifications to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair electrical circuits or wiring.
- Troubleshoot / repair head systems
Certificates for Fischer Panda, Volvo Penta, or Sealand Vacuflush are a plus
