Summary: This role is on our 2nd shift: the hours for the shift are 2pm-midnight, Monday-Thursday. This lead would attend a daily trade-off meeting at 1:30pm. The Manufacturing Team Lead plays an important role in ensuring efficient operations within the manufacturing environment. This position involves overseeing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining quality standards to meet production targets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages day to day duties of team members (Machine Operators and Assemblers)
- Organizes training of new team members
- Coordinates ongoing training in the development of current team members
- Completes Quality sign-offs on Production parts, using calipers and blueprints
- Assists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations
- Troubleshoots production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Communicates with other Team Leads to keep work orders flowing efficiently through production
- Is accountable for area meeting labor efficiency and utilizing material
- Shares any and all quality issues with management.
- Conducts quarterly feedback reviews with team members.
- Follows and enforces all company policies and safety rules
- Participates in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Leadership experience of any kind
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliability/able to maintain a good attendance record
- Ability to work in a fast pace atmosphere
- Ability to lift 25lbs regularly
- Sit and stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to be exposed to required chemical used in production/assembly, such as glue, bonding and sprays, etc.
- Ability to use computer to get job information and log job information.
