POSSITION SUMMARY

AlpHa Measurement Solutions’ QMS is critical to our company’s success. The Quality Assurance Engineer is a hands-on position supporting QMS management and engaging directly with our customers by managing the RMA process, supporting Supplier Quality initiatives, owning KPI Metrics, adherence to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, as well as any applicable product certifications.

This individual will report directly to the Quality Manager

Essential Functions

• Manage RMA process working with QC test ensuring returns are tested in a timely manner.
• Responsible for Issuing RMA numbers to customers and maintaining an accurate RMA log by date and defect.
• Directly Interfacing with customers answering warranty questions in a diplomatic way.
• Determining returns, replacements, credit and requesting them from customer service.
• Verification and maintenance of accurate stock levels in RMA inventory.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions to customers, ensuring timely resolution.
• Measures product dimensions, examines functionality, and compares the final product to the specification.
• Shared responsibilities for supporting supplier quality including first articles, supplier development and audits, generation of KPI data and training appropriate personnel.
• Facilitate regular monitoring and maintenance of day-to-day supplier quality issues through MRB and regular interaction with Engineering, Purchasing and Finance teams for disposition and resolution.
• Assist in performing internal ISO 9001 QMS or other quality audits.

Qualifications and Competencies

Engineering or technical degree with 0 - 3 years’ industry experience

Fluent in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

Aptitude for analyzing data through analytics and tools such as Power BI

Problem solving agility through technical learning and networking with subject matter experts.

Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional manner.

Demonstrates perseverance by pursuing tasks with energy and drive, especially when faced with ambiguity.

Able to read and understand product drawings, work instructions and test procedures.

Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, caliper

Must be conversant in English for the safe and effective performance of the job, authorized to work in the US and willing to undergo a background check.
