Quality Assurance Engineer

What is your role?

As a Quality Assurance Engineer for Eleventh Hour Games, you will be working closely with most other departments to identify issues within the game and ensure that features are released in a polished state. Primarily the goal of the position is to enhance the Quality Assurance department through the ability to both create new tooling and diagnose issues that are difficult through purely manual testing. This position will require a candidate with a balance of technical know how and an understanding of games, specifically online ARPG’s. The role requires excellent communication skills and autonomy as you will be working with a fully remote team.

Qualifications:

• Successful experience with manual and automated testing processes including having atleast maintained an existing automated testing infrastructure
• 3+ years of professional industry experience working with C#
  • Able to identify the cause of bugs from reading through the code flow
• Experience reading through error and crash logs to identify relevant data
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
• Experience working with Github and Unity
• Experience working on a server authoritative online game is a bug plus
• Able to embrace and excel in a small company environment
• Experience with version control and issue tracking
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking in cooperation with the other teams
• Experience working on a server authoritative online game is a big plus
• 3+ years in a QA Engineering role in a gaming environment

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a functional bug database
  
• Develop effective technical test plans to verify proper function, data content, performance, usability/playability, and hardware/software compatibility.
  
• Assist the manual QA team by building out tooling solutions to roadblocks in their efforts
• Take ownership of and maintain an ever expanding automated testing suite
• Investigate player reports by digging through their logs and creating reports with clear and concise information
• Helps developers diagnose potential issues via reviewing code for new features
