Position: Manufacturing Product Engineer
On-Site Position: Williamsport, PA
The Product Engineer is the primary customer technical interface responsible for the support of products from production launch through product life cycle. Ensures manufacturing process meets the customer's requirements. Primary technical interface between customer and manufacturing operations providing clarity and resolution throughout the product life cycle.
This location is our largest facility for our Aerospace & Defense customers. Your contributions will help us Win as One: One company. One team. One purpose. One plan. One culture.
What a Day Looks Like:

  • Support all aspects of the process in interpreting and clarifying Customer Product Documentation, defining manufacturing processes and providing manufacturing support of the product
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineers in developing such documentation as assembly validation plans/protocols, FMEAs and Quality Plans.
  • Review customer engineering changes and implement into production
  • Communicates with customers and suppliers on issues related to product quality and performance
  • Adhere to the documented Quality management system
  • Provide key support in customer quality and efficiency efforts by working with support teams to improve cycle times and reduce defects
  • Participate in technical assignments involving minimizing the manufacturability and maintaining timely product flow for assigned product(s)
  • Participate in selecting, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing equipment and procedures for assigned product(s)
  • Develop and revise manufacturing process specifications using failure analysis and effective corrective action processes
  • Perform design for manufacturing reviews to verify/improve product introduction and pilot runs to insure that tooling and assembly processes are in place to ensure efficient assembly practice
  • Interface effectively with other organizations such as suppliers, purchasing, component engineering, and customer service as needed

Safety:
  • Ensure that all assignments are performed in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Provincial and Company safety and health regulations, and where applicable, proper personal protective equipment is utilized.

Requirements
The Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering field or related degree with progressive experience in manufacturing or other job related experience deemed acceptable by the hiring team.
  • Experience in the EMS or OEM field supporting printed circuit board assembly development and processes is preferred.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills driven by attention to detail.
  • Strong DFM and NPI skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills using Six Sigma and Lean Principles .
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and control principles and practices.
  • Full color vision is an essential job requirement. Color identification test may be required pre-hire.
  • Self motivated and self managed
