ExcelHealth Group, LLC works with a dental company providing direct, onsite, comprehensive dental care to residents of long-term care facilities using a state-of-the-art Mobile Dental Clinic to bring our services to our clients. Our Dental Clinics are converted enclosed car haulers transported by a 3/4 ton pick-up truck. These 100% custom rigs are built by our in-house technicians with over 20 years of experience.
Experience: Experience in the medical field is preferred but is not required. Applicants should be able to navigate computer systems with ease and have the ability to quickly learn and retain medical terminology. Clinic Managers use our systems to enter medical notes and billing and are also required to use proprietary equipment. This position requires a high level of verbal and written communication with facility partners, dentists and team members. Applicants should be friendly, outgoing and communicative, as you will be in frequent contact with our clients and patients and will serve as the face of the company. This position is heavily customer based.
Driving Requirement: Clinic Managers drive the pick-up truck and attached Mobile Dental unit throughout the state. An acceptable driving record is required. Transparency with one's driving record is best practice. Stop by our website to view our units (site listed at bottom of description).
Travel: Five (5) days per week, the mobile clinic manager is responsible for transporting the clinic to long-term care facilities and managing the clinic's staff and operations throughout the state.
Overnight Stays: This position frequently requires travel with overnight stays three (3) to four (4) nights per week.
Distance: This mobile clinic services facilities across the state.
Team: The clinic staff typically meets at a designated local location and travel together in a company vehicle as a team of three that includes the clinic manager, a registered dental assistant, and a patient transporter. Dentists generally arrive separately to the facilities.
Clinic Manager Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Safely transporting the Mobile Dental Clinic to facilities as scheduled by in-house scheduling department. (Must feel comfortable driving truck that is hauling a trailer)
- Daily equipment check including the truck and trailer, requires stooping and lifting.
- Tending to truck repairs within reason such as tire changes.
- Manage daily workflow of patients, dictate treatment notes, and manage the Mobile Dental crew consisting of a Registered Dental Assistant and a Patient Transporter.
- High level of communication with facility partners, team members and dentist.
- Input of notes into company software.
- Manage daily set up and breakdown/maintenance of mobile clinic, requires stooping and lifting
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Anticipate patient and facility needs while providing an excellent customer service experience.
- Comply with federal and state legal regulations and company policies.
- Must be punctual and attentive to all procedure schedules.
- Demonstrate a caring attitude for patients' well being and understanding of cultural sensitivity.
- Establish and follow a regular and periodic maintenance schedule for the Mobile Dental Clinic and service truck.
- Maintaining truck and trailer when minor repairs are required.
Requirements:
- Must be able/willing to learn how to drive a truck towing a trailer.
- Must be willing to work away from home for extended periods on a consistent basis, which includes 3-4 overnight stays throughout the week.
- Must be personable, out-going, dependable, and willing to learn!
- Must be an excellent and professional communicator.
- Training is provided. (Prior driving and/or dental experience will shorten the learning curve.)
- Completion of a background check with acceptable results is required.
- Ability to learn and navigate computer system.
- Stooping and lifting, especially when conducting daily safety checks.
- Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written forms.
