Dental Clinical Assistant

Hi everyone : ) I’m Dr Mike Seo, and I’m the owner of Morton Ranch Dental. We’re looking for a new assistant to join our team.

A little about us:

Small privately owned office since Sept 2016 in Katy (down the street from the Morton Ranch schools)

2 Docs – owner and associate of 3 years, 1 Hygienist, 2 Front Desk, 1 Assistant, and Manager

PPO and FFS office

Open Mon – Thurs, then off Fri-Mon (for a 4 day weekend), then open again Tues – Sat.

Hours for the position:

8:30 – 5/6 on the weekdays and 9:30-4 on Saturdays we’re open

Requirements:

Minimum of a year of experience working in the back as a dental assistant.

Team player and self-starter

Ability to take constructive criticism.

Experience with treatment planning – presenting, scheduling, explaining.

Dentrix competency

Ability to work in high pressure environments.

Self aware and understand how one’s behaviors can be interpreted by others.

Bilingual is a big plus, but not required.

Pay:

$12-25/hr based on experience and performance

Personal note from Dr Mike:

I’ve had this office for about 8 years and like any other business we’ve had lots of ups and downs. I’m extremely appreciative of the patients and staff that this office has been given, and I don’t have any intentions of going anywhere. We always try to treat our patients and each other with good energy and respect, but as human beings as also allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.

I’ve always tried to maintain an honest practice where the patient comes first, and all treatment that we propose is in our patient’s best interest to the best of our ability as providers. I like to think I’m a good person, a little weird in a funny way, but I really do try hard for my patients. I truly believe that we’re stronger in diversity, and I invite anyone to be a part of our team.

We’re just looking for someone who’ll fit into our existing team. Our existing staff values hard working team oriented people who are able to let go of things when needed. The office is like any other office: the schedule is either dead or it can get quite busy, but somehow we always make it through. We’re able to joke with each other but depend on each other when needed.
