FREYR has built the commercially-sized Customer Qualification Plant in Mo i Rana, Norway and announced development of industrial scale battery cell production in the United States.
We are looking for a Manager of Economics & Planning to help drive the development of the gigascale projects being initiated in the U.S.
The person in this role will translate technical insight in production and supply chain into structured economic thinking. This thinking will frame and influence strategy development.
The job will be US based remote to start however, travel will be required to Newnan, Georgia, the location of our initial manufacturing site. Future relocation to the Atlanta-area may be required.
Your job tasks include
- Developing technical insight into production, product and supply chain value drivers
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex technical and economic-driven decisions
- Building accurate and insightful technical/economic analysis to drive optimal outcomes and support for decision gates
- Identifying opportunities to optimize key business drivers
- Performing marginal analysis on the impact of product and process changes
- Working with other finance team members to accurately reflect business drivers into business plan models
We are looking for the following qualifications
- Engineering degree with economics modeling work experience or finance/economics degree with strong experience on techno-economic modeling
- Minimum 5 years experience building technical economic models to optimize production process, product and supply chain optimization
- Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams on complex business decision making processes Experience in the preparation and presentation of decision documents

- Ability both to see patterns in complex data sets and translate them into practical suggestions, thereby determining concrete strategies in ambiguous contexts

Salary Range Transparency
The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000/year up to $210.000/year and represents the low and high end of our salary range for this position. The actual salary will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Other components of our compensation package may include rewards such as bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
