Job description

The Manager of Training is responsible for defining and implementing organizational training strategy, assess its outcome, and implement change where needed. The Manager, Training is responsible for leading, building, and managing all training programs, as well as, overseeing the team to ensure they produce the required quality deliverables and achieve the potential benefits defined. This includes management of issues, risks, and project changes to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
The Manager, Training will identify training and developmental needs for eMoney platform users and drive suitable learning initiatives to ensure successful onboarding to reduce future churn. The Manager, Training provides functional, technical and process leadership, in addition to mentorship, including designing, developing, and coordinating the execution of eMoney learning programs intended to drive client satisfaction, adoption of the platform, and retention.
The Manager, Training contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving program delivery.
This is a 100% remote eligible role.
Job Description
  • Support Director, Client Success in planning and executing training initiatives, including state of the art learning methodologies and industry best practices
  • Develop a high-tech and streamlined training program to ensure successful client onboarding and continued success
  • Manage all aspects of the Training team to ensure all programs are aligned to and directly support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives
  • Conceptualize and oversee the creation of learning content conducted via live training and webinars (recorded trainings).
  • Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how learning solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
  • Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Work with Advisory and Senior Training Consultants to create unique training curriculums to address the needs and expectations of large corporate enterprises and firms
  • Assist the Director, Client Success with all capacity planning and staffing initiatives and reporting
  • Define department metrics and measurements; ensure OKRs are met
  • Collaborate with the internal product and client-facing teams to identify the most impactful training initiatives to support the company’s mission and growth
  • Work closely with Training Consultants to support continued professional growth, including improvement of training skills and delivery methods
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, conduct performance reviews, and ensure effective onboarding of new team members
  • Provide input into Training Department annual budget
  • Regularly review training program and Training Consultant feedback/surveys to determine improvements or enhancements aimed at reducing future occurrences
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the Training team
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
  • Continue professional development to stay abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices in the software learning industry
  • Manage vendor relationships for live, instructor-led training sessions to ensure successful coordination and delivery of training services; vendors may include hotels, training centers, Fidelity training facilities and catering companies
  • Participate in vendor proof of concept sessions and meetings when researching new technology for the Training team
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure our program improvements are communicated internally and to clients, as needed
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with key departments across the organization.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in the software technology industry
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in same or similar training field
  • 5+ years of curriculum design and/or training management experience in the financial services industry
  • 7+ years of experience in a client-facing role
  • Advanced knowledge of eMoney Advisor’s products is a plus
  • Working knowledge of financial planning concepts and financial services operations
  • Strong understanding of financial terms and concepts
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Project, Salesforce, Outreach, LMS
  • 0-15% travel

  • Strong experience designing and implementing successful training programs, including in person, virtual, webinar, eLearning, workshops, simulations, coaching, and on-the-job learning
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills; strong ability to mentor team on same
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives
  • Ability to understand and translate business objectives into goals, OKRs and technical requirements
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members of varying experience, tenure, and professional and educational background, whether in office or remote
  • Strong background in developing metrics and benchmarks
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and diagnostic skills with an ability to make impactful recommendations based on the data
  • Detail oriented with an ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines at the initiative, project, and task level
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback in a motivating fashion
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies, new systems, and applications that enhance team’s processes
The salary range for this position is $86,000 - $123,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise. This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
