Position Specific Description
Our Engineering Construction & Supply Chain Business Unit is looking for an experienced Customs and Trade Compliance Manager to join the Global Trade Strategy Team in Riviera Beach, FL The selected candidate for this role must have strong regulatory knowledge, and previous experience managing regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge in the key areas of Customs Compliance, including tariff classification, country of origin determinations, and principles of Customs Valuation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on classification, valuation, COO decisions, and Free Trade Agreements;
• Develop and maintain customs-related programs to enhance existing processes;
• Assist in the maintenance of the US duty drawback program;
• Strong knowledge of US Customs reconciliation program;
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• In-depth knowledge and experience of the US Customs Code of Federal Regulations Title 19 and Export Administration Regulations (EAR);
• Experience with global customs regulations and administrations;
• In-depth knowledge of HTSUS and rules of origin, with the ability to apply the knowledge into a written reasonable care decision/ruling request;
• In-depth knowledge of customs valuation rules and the ability to apply the knowledge within the company's business practices;
• Knowledge and application of free trade agreements;
• Expert knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (CFR 15);
Bachelor's Degree in related field and Licensed Customs Broker designation are strongly preferred. A minimum of 5-years' experience in trade compliance and experience with related-party transactions and transfer pricing are preferred.

Individuals are responsible for the effective acquisition, management, and delivery of materials, supplies, and services to achieve competitive power production objectives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads the materials management team to drive down the total cost of ownership and increase business unit productivity
- Implements associated policies and processes, including warehousing, procurement, and receipt inspection
- Forecasts and plans projected materials use and manages the supply pipeline to improve cost control, volume changes, delivery accuracy and inventory availability
- Oversees the management of the supplier base, ensuring new sources of supply are being continually developed and that ongoing supplier performance is being monitored
- Maintains good working relationships with the business units to facilitate the group's understanding of their business requirements, Supply Chain requirements and to stress the importance of scheduling
- Develops, evaluates, and implements processes, policies, and programs to provide and improve materials management cost and productivity
- Develops and implements effective personnel safety programs
- Conducts business dealings with the highest level of integrity and regard for legal and environmental regulations
- Develops, evaluates, and implements policies and procedures to ensure FERC, Sarbanes-Oxley, and GAAP requirements are met as they relate to materials management processes
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
