Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM) to support the modernization, conversions, and overhaul of government and commercial ships. This position will be an integrated part of the BAE Supply Chain team with responsibility to oversee all direct Supply Chain related activities. Use demonstrated knowledge of ship repair and experience guiding Supply Chain activities through the project and program management, planning, and quality processes to ensure Supply Chain compliance to all requirements and directives throughout the program lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the main focal point for all Supply Chain activities and program management office throughout the availability (prime contract).
  • Establish supplier milestone objectives and monitor supplier performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications.
  • Work closely with Capture Management, Proposal Management, Estimating, Program Management, and Supply Chain to develop Supply Chain strategies, obtain proposal inputs, and proactively address Supply Chain performance throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Collaboratively work with Supply Chain Coordinators and Analysts throughout the life of the project to ensure performance expectations are met, subcontracts documentation alignment, and develop compliance to governing customer regulations (FAR, DFAR, NAVSEA standards or Commercial / maritime regulations).
  • Utilize technical know-how in the area of ship building or ship repair and strong business acumen to build effective relationships.
  • Interface vertically and horizontally across all functions and regularly interface with department leads and program leadership.
  • Drive cross functional engagements and collaborate with the program team.
  • Develop and maintain Supply Chain Program Plans (SCPP) and routinely communicate on Integrated Supply Chain performance to the to the program and executive team.
  • Responsible for the development and calculation of Non-Labor costs including Bill of Material (BoM) analysis, costing, and planning.
  • Develop innovative cost models, non-labor status, requisition review, and financial support to the Program Office as needed.
  • Assist Supply Chain Coordinators and Analysts with sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, selection, and contractual management of subcontractors and material purchases.
  • Support team in performing to each project`s specifications, quality, budget, schedule, and earned value requirements to include the timely delivery of all deliverables required to fulfill the subcontract.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Technology, Engineering, or Business and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management/Leadership
  • Experience in People Management/Leadership to lead, mentor, and develop diverse teams
  • Experience in managing Supply Chain processes and personnel using integrated ERP systems
  • Experience in analysis and mitigation of risks on various contract terms and conditions
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS compliance requirements as applied to government contractor purchasing processes (e.g. SBSPs, etc.)
  • Knowledge of long-term agreement (LTA) development, negotiation, and closure with key suppliers
  • Proficient in MS Office suite with advanced skills in Excel

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • MBA in Supply Chain Management
  • Certification: APICS CSCP-Certified Supply Chain Professional, ISM CPSM-Certified Professional in Supply Management, or PMI PMP-Project Management Professional
  • 10+ years of directly applicable experience in managing aerospace Supply Chain processes and personnel using IFS

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112800 - $191800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
