What Strategic Engagement Manager contributes to Cardinal Health
Strategic Engagement Manager (SEM) has a key role within the Commercial Strategic Engagement organization, which includes responsibility for playing a key/critical role in realizing business value through the application of Project Management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project objectives. In this role you will work with a customer care team on key accounts.
Location - Fully remote, with the expectation of some travel (10% per year)
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Project Management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processes.
- Monitors performance and recommends scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustments; connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business case.
- Prioritizes multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; communicates project status (health, forecast, issues, risks, etc.) to stakeholders in an open and honest fashion.
- Effectively balances competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
- Connects project objectives to broader organizational goals.
- Provides input to contracts, reviews contracts to ensure completeness of scope and appropriate accountability based on role and/or responsibility.
- Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Targeting individuals with a Project Management background (or account management), specifically in Oncology (6+ years experience in related field preferred)
- Prior team leadership experience preferred, not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to manage internal/external partnership
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Lead customer activities
- Monitor the project scope ensuring the project meets the criteria as established in the SOW
- Manages the project budget and ensures compliance
- Attend and lead internal and external project kick-off meetings
- Attend and lead customer implementation and update meetings
- Ensure project execution is timely and meets customer expectations and established timelines
- Work with internal operations team to develop and maintain work orders, project plans, and project chronologies
- Monitor milestone progress against established project chronology and provide regular updates to account management team and customers
- Proactively develop and maintain broad knowledge of the technical disciplines in own functional area(s); applies a broad knowledge of legal and compliance trends and best practices, i.e. PhRMA Guidelines, digital marketing platforms, etc, in a manner that ensures exceptional performance and results.
- Define all customer requirements on assigned projects
- Manages department operations and supervises professional employees
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
- Ensures employees operate within guidelines
- Decisions have a short-term impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers
- Interacts with subordinates, peer customers and suppliers at various management levels may interact with senior management
- Interactions normally involves resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects
- Gains consensus from various parties involved

Anticipated Pay Range $102,000.00 - 145,700.00 USD
Bonus Eligible - Yes, 15% MIP annually
